Things to think about before bringing home your new cat/kitten.
 |
Make sure and have all necessary supplies
and equipment before picking up your new cat/kitten. (litter pan, litter,
food & water bowls, premium cat food-ask breeder what food the cat is
accustomed to, carrier to bring cat home in and to and from vet) |
 |
Pick out a vet you feel comfortable with
and is located near your home. Also have in mind the hours the vet is
opened, it might be good idea to have another vet picked out in case of
emergencies after hours. |
 |
Cat proof your home so it is safe and free
of dangers (poisonous plants, looped cords on window blinds, Christmas
ribbons, electrical cords, small objects) should all be kept out of cats
reach. |
 |
Take your cat to the vet yearly for
vaccinations and check-up, and always spay and neuter all pets. |
